Where to Play Pickleball in Massillon
Wampler Park
1818 Main Avenue W, Massillon, OH 44647. Wampler Park has six public outdoor pickleball courts available throughout regular park hours. The park also includes restrooms, two reservable pavilions, parking, a playground, basketball and tennis courts, walking paths, athletic fields, and the Jake Roberson Memorial Splash Pad. This is Massillon's best outdoor option for groups because all six courts sit in one city park.
Lincoln Park East
644 17th Street NW, Massillon, OH 44647. Lincoln Park East has the city's original outdoor pickleball court. It is free and open during park hours, generally from 7:30 a.m. until dusk. The park also has a playground, pavilion, walking paths, soccer fields, and disc golf. With only one court, it works best for a foursome rather than a player seeking pickup rotation.
Massillon Recreation Center
505 Erie Street N, Massillon, OH 44646. The recreation center sets up three indoor wood courts with permanent lines and portable nets. Weekday play begins at 5:30 a.m., and the gym calendar provides long daytime blocks for mixed-level open play. Members play as part of facility access; the public day pass is $8. Restrooms, water, locker rooms, fitness equipment, and an aquatic center are on site.
Cookin' Pickleball Club
4736 Dressler Road NW, Canton, OH 44718. About 15 minutes from Massillon, Cookin' has eight dedicated indoor courts, open play, reservations, leagues, tournaments, lessons, and clinics. A free visitor account gives access to $10 all-day open play and $10-per-hour participation on a reserved court.
Open Play, Leagues, and Tournaments
The Massillon Recreation Center's gym schedule is the city's recurring indoor program, with play beginning at 5:30 a.m. on weekdays and 8 a.m. Saturday. Wampler Park supports informal outdoor rotation during park hours.
For structured competition, Cookin' runs leagues and tournaments, while the Hall of Fame City Pickleball Club stages a multi-event Stark County series at Stadium Park in Canton. Hot Shots Pickleball Club also has a tournament scheduled October 2-4, 2026, on nine climate-controlled indoor courts. The Massillon Parks calendar publishes the current monthly gym grid and city registrations.
